In the midst of uncertain times, seven souls search for meaning... In London, the Terror threat is heightened and regular attacks plague the city. Mirrored by this unrest, Esten faces a spiritual battle with a growing sense of futility, as he struggles to find any meaning in his actions. Around him similar dilemmas unfold, as against the worsening backdrop of violence in London, each character is brought to question their own purpose, and what drives them to action.
The Unimportance of Everything is a portrait of a society which has lost its sense of meaning, at a time when it’s foundations are being uprooted by the turbulence of change. We follow Esten, a young man in London who spirals into despair when he fails to find meaning in life. Esten embarks on a spiritual journey towards understanding, mirrored by a backdrop of London’s progression from violence and unrest towards the rumblings of revolution.
